The ft:originId is the document's identifier. Fluid Topics uses the ft:originId value of documents to determine if a document is a new document, or an existing one to update. This means that the value of ft:originId must remain consistent over time.
Users can also use the ft:originId to:
-
Link to a document through deep links.
For example:
https://docs.fluidtopics.com/access?ft:originId=fluid-topics-api-reference-guide -
Target a document when using the Fluid Topics web services.
For example, using the Delete an attachment by originId web service:
https://docs.fluidtopics.com/api/admin/khub/documents/attachments?ft:originId=fluid-topics-api-reference-guide
The value of a document's originId depends on the connector through which the content was originally uploaded. The chart below describes the behavior for each connector.
In the previous chart, Resources are the attachments and files included with the content.
Do not modify the ft:originId value of an existing document.
Fluid Topics uses the value of a document's originId to create a document's khubId.
