Managing a page's description makes it possible to improve the portal's SEO. Changing the page's description controls the snippet shown below the portal's name in search engine results and social media posts.

For example:

  • In Google search results:

A search engine result snippet. At the top, a logo appears next to the site name 'Fluid Topics' and its URL, https://www.fluidtopics.com, followed by a blue 'Traduire cette page' translation link. Below, the page title 'Fluid Topics' is shown, followed by a description reading: 'Fluid Topics helps organizations deliver product knowledge efficiently, offering users a personalized, AI-driven experience.

  • In Slack:

A web preview card for a YouTube channel link. At the top, a clickable URL "https://www.youtube.com/@fluidtopics" is displayed. Below, a YouTube icon appears alongside the bold label "YouTube," followed by a clickable "Fluid Topics" link. The card contains two paragraphs of descriptive text explaining that Fluid Topics is an AI-powered Product Knowledge Platform that ingests and unifies product information from various sources and delivers personalized content across digital channels, and that it is a SaaS solution designed to integrate with existing infrastructure for dynamic publishing without disrupting the writing process.

A custom page description can result in more clicks in search results and social media posts.
