In the Content component's Settings, it is possible to configure the following:

Setting Description
Configure topic template Select the Topic template to use to style individual topics displayed by the Content component.
By default, the Content component uses the Default topic topic template.
Disable context interactions
Deactivates other components' interactions with the Content component, including:
  • The synchronization of the Table of contents or Mini TOC component with the Content component
  • The ability to navigate to search results from the Built-in search in document or Search results component
  • The highlighting of keywords in the Content component by the Built-in search in document component
Heading levels Choose how to handle heading levels:
  • Keep heading levels unchanged: heading levels match those in the original content.
  • Shift heading levels down (H1 to H2...): By default, both the Document title component and top-level document headings create <h1> elements. This does not accurately reflect the structure of a document. By selecting the Shift heading level down option, all document headings move down one level (<h1> becomes <h2>, <h2> becomes <h3>, etc.). This ensures correct heading hierarchy when a document title is present.
  • Configure first heading level for every page: select the heading level at which each page starts.
Preview cross-documents links Activates a modal that appears when users select a cross-document link. When active, select the Link preview template to use to style the cross-document link modal.
