To configure the Tree filter component, select a metadata key. End-users can select one of its values to filter search results.

The Tree filter component differs from the Filter component by the way it displays hierarchical metadata keys. The Tree filter component shows all the levels of a hierarchical metadata key in the form of a tree view. Users can collapse and expand levels.

For a Region metadata key with a value of Europe > France > Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the Tree filter component shows the following:

Use the Metadata menu to configure the order in which metadata key values appear. It is also possible to choose whether users can select one or multiple values.

  • The component displays the first eight levels of metadata values.
  • The maximum number of values visible to users is 1000.
