Web designers can add the Floating menu component anywhere in a designed page to create a custom menu.

The Floating menu component differs from the Floating window component because it benefits from the following accessibility improvements:

  • Better focus for keyboard navigation.
  • Improved ARIA labels.
  • Better binding of ARIA controls to triggers.
  • Better handling of voice over for screen readers.

When opening, the Floating menu component covers the element located directly below.

It is possible to configure the Floating menu component to close when selecting a predefined CSS selector.

The Floating menu component has limited compatibility with other components. See Floating menu limitations for a list of compatible components.

Selecting Force open in editor in the designer does not affect the Floating menu component on a published page.
