The Backups section of the Configuration management menu allows ADMIN users to back up a portal's configuration and restore it.

To create a backup, go through the following steps:

  1. Select Create a new backup, or select New and Backup.
  2. Enter a name and description.
  3. Select Create backup.

The configuration of the portal is backed up and can be restored if needed.

  • Backups expire after 3 months. Regularly back up the portal configuration to avoid expiration. A warning is displayed 2 weeks before a backup expires.
  • It is possible to have up to 10 backups.

It is not possible to schedule backups.

To restore a backup:

  1. Select the Apply this configuration button in the backup card.
  2. Select the configuration categories to import.
  3. Select Apply.

    A message is displayed to confirm the application.

  4. Confirm.

  5. Wait for the application.

The portal configuration is restored.

Restoring a backup from the Access rules, Enrich and Clean, Metadata configuration, Pretty URL, or Vocabularies category requires a reprocess.
