By selecting the Access rules tab in the Knowledge Hub section of the Administration menu, users with the ADMIN or KHUB_ADMIN role can create rules to restrict access to specific documents and topics based on metadata values and user groups.
A new version of the Access rules menu, known as the enhanced Access rules, is available. The enhanced Access rules features a brand new interface design, and provides greater flexibility to users. See Enhanced access rules.
If a document matches several rules defined in Fluid Topics, users belonging to any of the restricted groups can access the document.
ADMIN,KHUB_ADMIN, andCONTENT_PUBLISHERusers can see all content, including documents for which Access rules have been configured.- When a rule changes, users get access or lose access to restricted documents on their next login.
- When switching from the legacy Access rules to the enhanced Access rules, replace all previous Access rules with new ones before activating the enhanced Access rules. Once enhanced Access rules are active, Fluid Topics deletes all the previous rules.
