Fluid Topics portals created after October 1st, 2024 use the enhanced Access rules by default. For portals created before this date and using the legacy Access rules, see Activate the enhanced access rules.

The enhanced Access rules features a brand new interface design, and provides greater flexibility to users:

  • Allowing rules based on multiple metadata.
  • Allowing users to create access rules and activate them later.
  • Allowing users to name and describe access rules.
  • Providing timestamps for rule creation and modifications.

When switching from the legacy Access rules to the enhanced Access rules, replace all previous Access rules with new ones before activating the Enhanced Access rules. Once enhanced Access rules are active, Fluid Topics deletes all the previous rules.

It is possible to see a warning saying "There is currently no document with this metadata key or value.", but for the warning to be false. This is a technical limitation. This warning can appear for metadata keys with more than 2000 values (for example, ft:title, or ft:originId).
