In the enhanced Access rules menu, it is possible to create Access rules so that selected topics are only accessible for some users.
To activate Access rules at the topic level, proceed as follow:
- Select Configure topic access.
- Select Allow topics to have their own access rights.
- Select Save.
If a user does not have access rights to a document, they are not allowed to access any of its topics.
- Access rules for topics are only available with enhanced Access rules. The enhanced Access rules features a brand new interface design, and provides greater flexibility to users. See Enhanced access rules.
- Access rules targeting topics are exclusively available for books. It is not possible to create Access rules at the topic level for articles and unstructured documents.
- A topic's resources fall under its associated access rule.
