To add an Access rule at the topic level, select New access rule and follow the procedure to create a rule.
After creating a rule, select Apply and reprocess.
Reprocessing blocks publishing. The larger the corpus of a portal, the longer it takes to reprocess. To avoid disrupting users, select the Schedule a reprocess button in the Publishing menu to schedule a reprocess to run at night so publishing remains possible during work hours.
- Children topics inherit Access rules from their parent unless defined otherwise.
- Restricted topics with no subtopics are hidden from the table of contents.
Make sure to target metadata that is unique to the target topic.
